Dunmunkle CERT

Dunmunkle Community Emergency Response Team is activated when a person dials 000 and requests an ambulance. CERT provides first aid care and life support for the sick and injured until the ambulance arrives.

The Team is made up of local people who volunteer to provide 24/7 emergency cover for their community.

Dunmunkle CERT has 24 - volunteers who have attended a variety of minor and major emergencies, such as asthma, chest pain and heart attack, anaphylactic reaction to bee sting, broken bones, epilepsy, diabetic collapse, drug overdose/reaction, snake bite and road accidents.

Any of these incidents have the potential to be fatal and thus increase the anxiety level of the patient and their family.

You will see the CERT vehicle being driven around your town by team members each day. This means they are on-call and are ready to respond when directed by the ambulance service.
